Nested Blocks

At 5ire we are introducing the nested blockchain where nodes can create concurrent blocks and maintain smaller chains, which can later be merged into 5irechain. Therefore, instead of having a linear blockchain 5irechain will be a tree structured blockchain followed by a 5ire block, which will nest the smaller chains together . We believe that in order to process the transactions at scale it is important that nodes form autonomous groups and can concurrently process transactions and form their own chains. Figure 3 shows the diagram of how blocks will be structured.

Conventional blockchain is linear in nature and each block is connected to its previous block through a cryptographic hash. The data structure of the nested chain is still linear, however it can incorporate multiple linear chains in between the 5irechain depending on the requirement and transactional load on the network.
